About Elizabeth

Elizabeth Hutchinson is a Canadian oil painter. She most often works directly from observation and usually alla prima.

Her painting subjects include the natural world, such as flowers from her garden, birds, and her family and friends painted in her studio or home.

Thematically, her work is concerned with our connection to nature and to each other.

Elizabeth's paintings have been exhibited and sold in Canada and the USA. She has participated in many group exhibitions, most notably at galleries such as Flowers Gallery, Bortolami Gallery, and Sotheby's in NYC.

Elizabeth Hutchinson graduated from Ontario College of Art (now OCAD),(AOCA) University of Guelph, (BA), and the New York Academy of Art (MFA, cum laude.
